Objective
The division helps MPOB lead a healthy, orderly and viable palm oil industry through improvements in productivity and in the quality of services and products, moving the industry progressively toward self-regulation. Its work ethos is firm, fair and friendly.

Core Functions
01Regulation of industry activities
Control, coordinate and develop all activities involving the supply, sale, purchase, distribution, movement, storage, export and import of palm products, and the milling of fresh fruit bunches, ensuring every activity is registered and licensed under Act 582 and its Regulations.
02Compliance assurance
Ensure all industry participants comply with the laws and regulations of the Board for the effective implementation of Act 582.
03Quality development
Advance measures for high quality of palm produce, including product standards and efficient grading systems.
04Divisional coordination
Cooperate with the other divisions of MPOB for the integrated coordination of the Board’s tasks.
The division carries out its mandate through four units, together forming a comprehensive regulatory system that supports more than 200,000 smallholders across Malaysia.
